DPF Delete – What You Need to Know
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is designed to reduce emissions by capturing soot from the exhaust. However, over time it can become blocked — especially on vehicles used for short journeys — leading to warning lights, poor performance, and expensive repair bills.
Our DPF delete service involves carefully modifying the vehicle’s ECU software to electronically disable the DPF system. This prevents the vehicle from attempting regenerations and removes the common faults associated with a blocked or failing DPF.
This solution helps eliminate:
• Engine Management Light (EML) faults• DPF blockage and regeneration issues• Limp mode caused by excessive soot levels• Costly DPF replacements and repeat cleaning
The vehicle is then recalibrated to run correctly with the system disabled, improving reliability and drivability without ongoing DPF-related issues.
Important: DPF removal is strictly intended for off-road or motorsport use only. It is not legal for road use under current UK emissions regulations.
