AdBlue Faults: £1,000+ Repair or a £199 AdBlue Delete?
AdBlue system faults can quickly become an expensive problem for diesel vehicle owners. Warning lights, engine management faults and starting countdowns can leave drivers facing a potentially costly repair bill.
Recently, a vehicle came into Advanced Remaps & DPF Cleaning with two AdBlue-related fault codes:
P20FE00 – Reductant Metering Unit Performance – Passive/Sporadic
P20E800 – Reductant Pressure Too Low – Active/Static
A Potential £1,000+ Repair
Following diagnosis, the customer was advised that repairing the affected AdBlue system components could cost over £1,000.
Rather than proceeding with the replacement of expensive components, the customer chose our AdBlue Solution, priced at £199.
What Causes AdBlue Faults?
AdBlue systems contain several components that can develop faults, including the reductant pump, pressure system, injector/metering unit, sensors and associated wiring.
A fault such as P20E800 – Reductant Pressure Too Low can indicate that the system is unable to achieve the required AdBlue pressure. This can result in warning messages and other related fault codes.
This is why proper diagnostics are important before replacing parts. The fault code itself does not necessarily identify every component that may be contributing to the problem.
Our £199 AdBlue Solution
For suitable vehicles, we offer an AdBlue Solution for £199.
This can provide an alternative to potentially expensive component replacement where the vehicle and circumstances are suitable.
