At Advanced Remaps, we recently had this Citroën DS3 1.6 BlueHDi 120 in for a Stage 1 performance remap.
The DS3 is fitted with the 1.6 BlueHDi diesel engine, engine code BHZ (DV6FC), paired with a Bosch EDC17C60 ECU.

Stage 1 Performance Remap
The vehicle arrived with the factory output of approximately 120 PS and 285 Nm.
Following the Stage 1 calibration, the target figures were:
120 PS → 140 HP
285 Nm → 350 Nm
That’s an increase of approximately +20 HP and +65 Nm.
The additional torque is particularly noticeable during everyday driving, helping provide stronger acceleration and improved response when pulling away, overtaking or accelerating through the gears.
What Does a Stage 1 Remap Do?
A Stage 1 remap involves recalibrating the engine management software to optimise parameters such as fuelling, boost and torque delivery within the capabilities of the vehicle’s existing hardware.
Unlike a hardware modification, the vehicle’s original engine and turbocharger remain in place. The aim is to provide a noticeable improvement in performance while maintaining sensible drivability.
Bosch EDC17C60 ECU
This particular DS3 is equipped with a Bosch EDC17C60 ECU.
Identifying the correct ECU is an important part of the remapping process. Before any software work is carried out, we confirm the vehicle specification and ECU identification so the correct procedure and calibration can be used.
